The Women’s Business Center (WBC) at AnewAmerica provides training, counseling and other support services to help women entrepreneurs start and successfully grow their businesses.
AnewAmerica’s WBC operates from a main office in downtown Berkeley and a satellite office in the Fruitvale district of Oakland. The WBC contact information for these offices is as follows:
1470 Fruitvale Ave., Suite 5
Oakland, CA 94601
Lisset Ramirez Dizon
Phone: (510) 532-5240
Fax: (510) 532-5216
We also host and co-locate trainings and counseling sessions with reputable nonprofit agencies throughout our service footprint.
Delivery of services – whether short- or long-term training or technical assistance/counseling – is organized to accommodate client needs. Although we maintain office hours of 40 hours each week in both our Berkeley and Oakland locations, client needs dictate that we also schedule programs after regular work hours during evenings, weeknights and weekends. Our formal long-term training is scheduled during evening hours and most of our short-term programs are also offered during evenings or weekends.
WBC programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
Planned closures for the WBC each year are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th (Independence Day), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
