Green Market
Planting Day in the News

Parents, kids, students, volunteers, farmers and food vendors came together to celebrate the grand opening of the Green Banana Community Educational Garden during our first Planting Day event at Holy Names University.  Participants were able to share in a traditional Mayan Ground Blessing Ceremony, plant organic herbs with hands-on instruction from Eric Beesley of Wildheart Gardens, enjoy deliciously made foods by AnewAmerica Food Vendors and sample fresh organic products brought from Salinas by ALBA farmers.
