AnewAmerica changes lives through creating economic opportunities for targeted communities. Many women, minorities and immigrants face economic insecurity with no means to accumulate wealth. AnewAmerica leverages entrepreneurship to train and coach individuals to start their own business to support economic growth for themselves and their communities.

Our Mission Statement

AnewAmerica exists to enrich the lives of its participants and their families while strengthening their contributions to America as a whole. AnewAmerica provides training and technical assistance to targeted communities for economic and social empowerment through a focus on green entrepreneurship, asset building, social responsibility and civic engagement. We work with traditionally challenged communities, which include new Americans (new citizens, refugees and immigrants), women, minorities and low to moderate income households, to empower them to make their American dream a reality while contributing to the economic growth and social capital of their communities.

Our History

steve robinson and yan liu 250AnewAmerica has served communities throughout Northern California for over 24 years.  It has helped individuals pursue and achieve their dreams of entrepreneurship through its focus on business incubation, asset-building, social responsibility and technical training.  AnewAmerica has a history of helping entrepreneurs build their dreams and create greater economic stability for their families while also strengthening their communities at large with greater economic vitality.

AnewAmerica Community Corporation was founded in 1999 by a group of community leaders, led by our founder Sylvia Rosales-Fike, representing immigrants and community development advocates who saw a continuing lack of integrated job creation, asset development, and community empowerment strategies for low-income new Americans living in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Sylvia served as the President & CEO of AnewAmerica from 1999 – 2010. Sylvia, as the founder and first CEO of AnewAmerica, made her vision a reality; and with her vibrant spirit and passion, she built a strong foundation and reputation for the organization.

In 2013, as a direct response to the aftermath of the Financial Crisis, AnewAmerica formally expanded its mission to include other underserved communities in our marketplace.  It was felt that the expertise that the organization had could be leveraged with our greater community in order to assist those communities most impacted by the crisis.

Today, as a AnewAmerica is in its 24th year as an organization, we are proud of the foundation on which we were built and look forward to building our services to meet the needs our clients.
